Abstract: Pregnancy is characterized by profound changes in the function of virtually every regulatory system in the human body. The events in pregnancy elicit one of the best examples of selective anatomical, physiological & biochemical adaptation that occurs during pregnancy & profound changes in respiratory physiology is a part of the same process. Thus this study was designed to evaluate the pulmonary function tests in 1st, 2nd and 3rd trimesters of pregnancy & compare them with non-pregnant control group.
