| Abstract: | In humans, lead can cause a wide range of biological effects depending upon the level and duration of exposure. The heavy metal lead (Pb) is one of the most widely scattered toxic metals in the world. It has been used by mankind for over 9000 years. Lead in the environment may be derived from natural or anthropogenic sources. Aim and Objective: The aim of this study was to investigate the adverse effect of exposure to lead on a) systolic and diastolic blood pressure, b) serum calcium, ionized calcium, phosphorus and c) kidney functions, of automobile workers. |
