dc.description.abstract Upper gastrointestinal (GI) endoscopy is well tolerated procedure but alone is insufficient to diagnose mucosal lesions in about 15-30% of cases. In these cases histopathology is required. Thus endoscopy in combination with biopsy acts as a useful adjunct for diagnosis of upper GI lesions and plays an important role in management of patients. Hence the present study was done to determine the spectrum of upper GI endoscopic biopsies. en_US
