Abstract:
Cardiovascular Disease is the most common cause of mortality in type 2
diabetes mellitus. Diabetic dyslipidemia is one of the contributing factor. The effect of
vitamin D on the lipid profiles is one of the proposed mechanisms for the association
between diabetes and cardiovascular disease. This present study is intended to find
out the association, if any, exists between vitamin D status and lipid profile in patients
with type 2 diabetes mellitus.
