Community acquired pneumonia (CAP) is 6th leading cause of death in older people. Elderly patients hospitalized with CAP constitute a special population since they commonly have comorbidities, nutritional & immunological deficits. CAP in this population has atypical presentation. Diagnosis & treatment poses challenge for clinicians.
